In the wake of the success of the Bond films, many other spy spoofs were made. These two were amongst the more memorable. I caught them on TV the other day (they were showing a Mod themed slew of films) and besides noticing many Austin Powers references, the cinematography was always interesting and colorful which really adds to the whole Pop vibe they seem to inhabit.

Recommended mattinee viewing. I leave you with some reviews.

This one came out of the blue! DVDEmpire is listing an Ultimate Flint Collection for November, 7. Comes with audio commentaries and trailers. More details when I get them. Oh, and glad I held off all this time from buying those two!

Can anyone please tell me if it's worth upgrading from the old Fox DVDs based on image quality alone?

Also, how is this one packaged... Is it one of those thin box-sets similar to the Michael Shayne Mysteries with slimline keep cases inside?

If so, could anyone please post a link to pictures of the individual keep case art for each film?

I bought this in November 2006 from Deep Discount, because it seemed like an absurdly cheap upgrade (for the extras) to my original R1 editions. (It cost $11.71 plus shipping).

Sorry, but I can't remember anything about PQ - I've watched literally hundreds of DVDs since then. Both films are on DVD-5 discs, like the original releases.

As regards packaging, there are 2 "Thinpak"-type cases - yes, like Michael Shayne - in a cardboard slipcase. The "In Like Flint" case is a double, also housing the Special Features disc. There's a 6-page foldout booklet in the slipcase.

Can't help with artwork, either.
