from imdb.com:
Actress Sean Young was escorted from the Directors Guild Of America Awards show on Saturday for heckling filmmaker Julian Schnabel, nominated for his film The Diving Bell And The Butterfly. Schnabel was the last of the five Best Director nominees to take the stage to make a speech at the Los Angeles ceremony - but, after a few moments, he was forced to stop when Young shouted, "Come on - get to it!" A shocked Schnabel stopped to find out the identity of his heckler, and asked Young to finish his speech for him. Schnabel then returned to his speech after receiving encouragement from the star-studded audience, while Young was escorted out of the venue by two security guards, falling over as she left.
Did anyone catch this?

Well, it still has yet to be confirmed if she was attending as an actress or an usher.

Defamer had more info, but still no video. Shouldn't people be camera phoning this stuff?

Seriously, a room full of directors and NO ONE had a camera on them?

I would not be one bit surprised if Young cooked up the whole heckling-then-rehab bit for publicity.

I didn't even know until the heckling article that every director got to make a speech, which I think is really a neat way of doing it. I would feel a lot better about losing an award if I still got to say something.

Why can I find no picture of her on Letterman in that home-sewn Catwoman costume? I'm still laughing about that.

I think Halle Berry's costume designer from the Catwoman movie was inspired by that.

I think this is as close as we're going to get to video of the Sean Young incident. You can't really hear what she is saying (something along the lines of "get on with it"), but you can tell she really got to Schnabel.

No Country just won the Producer's Guild Award-- or as the AP article's title put it, "'No Country' Wins Another Award"
