I highly doubt that, considering that we see her what-nots in Boogie Nights and Short Cuts.

Especially her "prized rug" in Short Cuts

If it's covered it didn't happen with the new release. Believe me I have looked, hard.

Gary Oldman's "Nil By Mouth" uses the word 470 times.
Yet it is not on the list... incomplete.

Watched this for the nth time tonight. The credits say The Monks's "I Hate You" and Captain Beefheart's "Her Eyes Are a Blue Million Miles" are used in the movie. Where? Anyone?

The Captain Beefheart tune is on when the landlord comes over and asks for the rent, at the same time that the Dude is listening to his answering machine. There's a lot going on in that scene, so it's easy to miss.

I am saying this based on my memory, so I may be wrong.

Fuck you very much Universal. May this be the only movie I ever triple dip on (though I may wait 'til it's a Blu-Ray to do it).

A new 2-disc SD DVD? They really ought to have done that last year. If they stall on the Blu-Ray, I'll be very annoyed. This is something that is slowly starting to bug me on a daily fucking basis now - studios announcing SD DVD SEs of currently available titles and not announcing the Blu-Ray simultaneously or not announcing at all, leaving the customer confused and vexed.

I guess I'll be the sole member to express my excitement. I only have the first edition of the DVD, so it'll just be double-dipping on my part.

Why own this movie when you can just go to Dennys at 2am and ask any diner under forty to recite the film verbatim for you

It'll depend on the extras. Naturally, a Jeff Bridges/John Goodman commentary would be more than reason enough to re-buy it (for the third time).

Agreed. And Bridges has done a commentary track before.

A commentary by the real "Dude", Jeff Dowd would be a nice touch. But basically, I found that the I'm A Lebowski, You're A Lebowski, to be the best substitute for DVD extras so far. It's gonna be pretty hard to top that book and all of its info.

Yeha, it was close to a year ago, but the Monks song I believe is in the first or second bowling alley scene.

I've been meaning to buy that book for ages.

I'd also love to hear the real Dude.

It's a really good, brisk read and filled with tons of factoids and bits of fascinating trivia.

Damn, a commentary would've been nice. Maybe Universal's saving that for next year's version

Yeah, nothing there that would really convince me to buy it again. Oh well... Universal drops the ball... again!

I like it, except for the $ substituting as a "S."

Or is it? It wouldn't be the first time they've changed it before for a DVD release (albeit this would be the first time for a new one)
