Play.com gives 50 minutes - that's all the information I can supply you with.

It's a ten-minute extract, but I believe this was the only Franju material in the original 50-minute programme.

(This is first-hand - I've watched the DVD)

You mean that the original documentary deals with other directors in addition to Franju?

I've done a bit of digging, and it seems that this is the material specifically pertaining to Les Yeux sans visage - presumably the only title that Second Sight already had rights to.

One of the curses of licensing broadcast documentaries for retail release is that in most cases you have to go back to the original rightsholders and clear each individual clip all over again, which is both time-consuming and expensive.

Thanks MichaelB for the information but just to be pedantic does that mean that the extras on this disc are 10 minutes in total or that the Franju content is only 10 minutes. I'm asking again because I just got an e-mail from Moviemail who say that the extra supplements are 50 minutes.

Sorry I just read your comment on the Second Sight thread. So it looks like Moviemail are mistaken.
