That trailer was pretty much a montage of the various fabulous outfits Nicole Kidman will be wearing.

So yeah, I'll be seeing this.

Has a woman even been nominated for Best Cinematography yet?

A shot of a hand brushing through grain. Such originality.

My thoughts exactly.

Are you guys involved with marketing this film or something? New poster! New tourism ad! A fucking slideshow! Or do you actually find it interesting? [This is a serious question.]

Yes, I find movie marketing interesting (in general). And as Luhrmann's films are generally known for their design, I would figure a slideshow with the costume designer to be relevant. And there are a handful of Luhrmann fans on the board who would be interested in the commercial he made (and in case you haven't noticed, we have a whole thread dedicated to commercials).

If you're not interested, fine, but you could've saved yourself the aneurysm by clicking out of the thread rather than complaining about it.

Luhrmann and Kidman talk about making the film in The Guardian.

L.A. Times' coverage.

Oh, I didn't have an aneurysm, I was just surprised to see what this thread consisted of - I hadn't looked before, and thought there might be something worth reading given the amount of posts. It's quite obvious that these things are relevant, but I was curious about whether you guys actually find them interesting. Guess so. I find marketing interesting too, but not necessarily just any old thing. Can these marketing products and tactics really be interesting in and of themselves (for example, that hideous slideshow)? I'm not sure. Moving on now, anyway... Thanks.

Well, until someone gets a chance to see this sucker there's not going to be much in this thread except for links to articles/interviews/etc. and random speculation. I actually like that there is a bunch of posts with links to check out - it provides a source of info instead of having to search all over the 'Net looking for it.

Though Baz is still cutting the film, it will be flirting with a three hour runtime.

The new trailer is a beautiful, epic looking piece of cheese. And yeah, I'll still be seeing this.

Baz capitulates to the studio. Seemingly significant spoilers lurk so be wary if you care about such things.

It looks like it will be entertaining... Hopefully not in a Pearl Harbor sort of way...

Also, have a bit where [...] Kidman rides a BMX!
Why isn't that commenter running a studio?
