The finished print they ran states, very much like Parachini, that Fidler stipulated that the proceeding be open and on the record and that Polanski himself inferred that that might mean televised coverage. I don't see that making much of a difference, really.
The far larger issue established here is that Rittenband was a lying joke and a disgrace to his office. That's long been a point of contention and it seems to me to be quite settled, now. That's the headline here, for me.

I see that Bound by Honor actor, Damian Chapa has written, directed and is starring in a Polanski biopic which is still in production,

Polanski's attorneys are filing motions to have the charges against him dismissed based on allegations of judicial and prosecutorial misconduct raised by the film.

Now the victim is also calling for the case to be dismissed.
