Yentl - canceled?

#1 Post by Ashirg »

Did MGM cancel Yentl release? It was reviewed at DVD Talk and by DVD Savant, but it's not in stock anywhere.

There's a few new copies for sale on Amazon Marketplace. I didn't even know this was being released until it popped up on DVDBeaver. This might be an Ed Wood situation where some copies were sold and then a rights issue presented itself

I was surprised when I saw the DVD on this list this past week. I think it may be more of a Fish Called Wanda SE DVD situation that for some reason MGM decided to delay it.

The release wasn't canceled. I saw a couple of copies floating around at Target and Best Buy. MGM did release the film, end of discussion.

...and copies of Ed Wood were available at Wal-Mart, even after it was pulled from the shelf on the first release. You did not in fact end discussion

The film may have been recalled like Ed Wood, A Fish Called Wanda and Mrs. Doubtfire. Studios do that, you know. And like domino said, there is no end of discussion.
