I'm assuming Departures was about the Holocaust?

The Departures is a masterpiece explication of the slavery/aliens/robot/holocaust conundrum. As a synechdoche of 20-teens America, it is a worthy pseudo-sequel to Sugarland Express.

This 5-presenter idea is a total disaster.

Cocksucker! I knew Boyle was gonna win, but still, Van Sant was more creative and less flashy.

OMG. I just tuned in.....have the previous actor categories been done in this completely awkward way of actors giving each other verbal handjobs?

After that awful, self-serving speech by Winslet, they should take the damn Oscar back!

Jesus, this five presenter thing is terrible. I'm only watching my second category of the night and my stomach is turning. No wonder presenters were dropping out anonymously last week.

And thus concludes a perfect storm of Oscar worthlessness. Name a worse year for nominees and especially winners, I don't think it can be done

Nice to see Penn win, but agreed on the whole, this whole evening was a joke. (And I'm writing this before the inevitable Slumdog win for Best Pic.)

I wish the music would come on and cut off the presenters.

Ugh, the way this night is going, The Reader is going to win Best Picture and Harvey Weinstein is going to become the most annoyingly powerful person in Hollywood.

Cutting clips from older films into the current Best Picture nominees is only the latest atrocity tonight.

Danny Boyle's worst film won Best Picture. La dee fucking dah. Only twelve months until next year's annual disappointment and like a chump I'm gonna tune in again.
