The article states that he is also going to direct Bioshock. I've been playing the game in my PS3 and it's has great 1950's look and really entertaining, but I'm sure the studio only wants to showcase the game's gore and it will become another Paul WS Anderson-like film.

Neal H. Moritz, producer of too many horrible films to mention here, plans to remake Total Recall. I can't understand why you'd want to remake a perfect film that's less than 20 years old, but then I'm not Neal H. Moritz, am I?

It's pretty hilarious that Moritz' production shingle is called Original Films when he almost exclusively produces remakes and sequels.

The mere fact that they are calling this a thriller tells me it will be terrible. Ishiguro's book is one of my favorites and the story is as far from thriller-territory as one is likely to get. Pass.

I read the book too, but didn't particularly like it, so I think a film adaptation could work. The fact that it's being handled by Romanek at least ensures that, if anything, it'll look great.

Alexander Payne's next film is a comedy about a guy who decides to undergo surgery to shrink himself when he becomes convinced that it will drastically improve his life. Paul Giamatti, Reese Witherspoon and Sacha Baron Cohen are slated to star.
