The producers behind Nailed are having all sorts of financial problems, and the film itself nearly wasn't completed. I would be very surprised if we see it this year.

This sounds infinitely more interesting than "Cleo".
In his interview with Filmmaker about The Girlfriend Experience, Soderbergh says filming on Moneyball will begin this summer.

Aronofsky in "Fighter" shape for boxing drama

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Darren Aronofsky is in final talks to direct "The Fighter," a boxing drama reteaming "The Departed" stars Mark Wahlberg and Matt Damon.
Based on the life of boxer "Irish" Mickey Ward (Wahlberg) and his trainer brother Dick Eklund (Damon), the Paramount Pictures saga chronicles their early days on the rough streets of Lowell, Mass., through Eklund's battle with drugs and Ward's eventual world championship in London.
Wahlberg and Damon both hail from Boston, while Aronofsky and Damon attended nearby Harvard University.
The film, with its conventional narrative, would mark a departure for Aronofsky, whose 1998 breakthrough "Pi," acclaimed 2000 followup "Requiem for a Dream" and recent box office bomb "The Fountain" offered hallucinatory explorations of existential issues. Sources said Aronofsky is awaiting a script rewrite before signing on.
Production is moving forward with Bale taking over for Matt Damon, and David O. Russell stepping behind the camera.
What's with Bale playing second fiddle (this and Public Enemy) now that he's hot shit? No chance it has to do with the Terminator blow-up, is there?
Not that I care very much either way, but after Batman and then T4, I thought we were going to be seeing him headlining virtually everything from here on out.
I read on imdb that Bale is actually playing the boxer while Wahlberg is playing the trainer/brother. Maybe they got their story wrong, but that's how I read it there.
Apparently, both Wahlberg and Bale were on HBO's 24/7 coverage for the Pacquiao/Hatton fight. They were at Freddie Roach's gym, watching Pacquiao train.
Variety reports on a trio of pics Robert Rodriguez has got lined up; including "Machete" which shoots in June and a relaunch of the "Predator" franchise for FOX.
Does this mean he will have to join the Director's guild to work for Fox? I faintly remember this being a sticking point when Rodriguez was rumored to be directing "John Carter of Mars" a few years ago. (Also wondering about this re: Tarantino working with Universal Pictures)
