Dear Lord! Did they think it was a film about pill-popping?

That's the kind of horrible that gives me the urge to buy a copy just so I can demolish it in some form of defiance.

Yeah, I saw one from that I Love the 80's series in a store the other day.
It made me laugh, but basically captures the vibe of the film as well as anything:

I wonder if John Lithgow's agent got him the box around his name.

That vibe being "spastic bullshit", I take it?

When I read that everyone was talking about Teen Boxer, I excitedly typed the title into this forum's search engine, assuming there would be a lengthy thread devoted to the film. Imagine my shock when I discovered that this was not the case.

That's a shame. Blood Fart Lake used to be such a nice place to take the kids for a quiet weekend getaway.

So I didn't misread fart. Now I want to see it in case it is a good farce. I know that won't happen, but still....

Um,

SYNOPSIS
The Legend of Blood Fart lake is...well...legendary! When a group of college kids head off to their friend's cabin for a little high-octane sex weekend, they will get more than they bargained for in the form of the evil Scarecrow killer, Jimmy Van Brunt! Seems like nobody is safe at spooky lakeside cabins in the woods these days. Experience characters that make you want to howl with laughter and constipation! Witness deaths the likes of which you have never seen before! One part Friday the 13th, one part Ernest Goes To Camp and three parts Cream Cheese. Wonder, aloud, who will be still be alive by the end of this Terror At Blood Fart Lake?!

From what I can gather, this is less a movie and more an extended YouTube video transfered to DVD and starring those fat pale guys in XL black tshirts that hang around Best Buys

Those guys are being pretty cool about sinking in ossiary quicksand. If anything just a little bitter about Mira moving onwards without them.

Did Kevin Sorbo bank none of the money he made from two (TWO!) long-running TV series?

This one's great because it's such a blatant con, selling a challenging, fragmentary film by the young DePalma in the guise of a forerunner to "Analyze This" and "Meet the Parents." How many people who buy this would imagine that the film came out with an X rating?

The made-up critic's blurb saying how hilarious DeNiro is was a nice touch -- and they put the same quote on the DVD spine!

"DeNiro's big head over a city skyline" is apparently the only way to market his De Palma films.

I always automatically think of Robert DeNiro when I see the New York skyline.
