As a poster I actually like that. It's just the title and tag that are stupid.

The large puddle of blood is a bit of overkill, but otherwise it's a very effective design, imo.

And for those who haven't seen this yet, this is the previous DVD cover they try to improve:

Looks like that guy at the bottom was impaled by the giant handgun.

That made me laugh out loud for real. Especially because he is running and its like 10X his body size/mass.

Typical lazy, unimaginative cover, but pay particular attention to the first pull quote:

Tony Bennett, that most vaunted of film critics. And so relevant to pop culture in general today. I can't wait for some DVD to come out with a quote that says ""It's was cool baby, cool!" ~ Sammy Davis, Jr."

Actually Davis is quoted quite prominately in several ad mats from the original pressbook for John Ford's SARGEANT RUTLEDGE. I wish I had a copy to post but anyone who's interested can probably find it somewhere on the net. The qoute:

"It's a gasser!"

No, it's just a direct-to-DVD ripoff conveniently timed to cash in.

RE: The Frog Prince

I love the two tag lines: “A classic fairy tale” and “Not every frog turns out to be a prince!” Guys, if the frog isn’t a prince, it’s not a fairy tale. It’s just a kid’s film about bestiality.
