Hi,
Any suggestions on the following would be much appreciated.
I have a multi-region Philips (DVDP 3030K) DVD player and a Loewe Xelos LCD television with built-in Freeview. I also have a Panasonic (NV-FJ610) VHS recorder/player (no laughing please).
I now want to get a digital recorder with Freeview so that I can:
record digitally off air;
transfer VHS to digital.
I do not (at this stage) want to get Blu-Ray.
I want to continue using the excellent Philips multi-region player in the set-up, but can I continue to do so if I also install what will probably be a region 2 digital player/recorder in the set-up (or is it possible to get a multi region SD DVD recorder/player in a high street shop.on the net?). I'm in the UK
I would appreciate technical advice on the possibility of setting up two DVD players (one being a recorder also) and my VHS player/recorder?
Also, what particular models would you suggest?
Many thanks.

Re: DVD recorder/player advice please
I know the Sony DVD recorders can be relatively easily modified because one of our local shops did so for my father in law.
He got a more up to date one (about 18 months ago) than mine - I think I have a 710, and I've had no problems with it.
