The body looks like it has a Native American's hairstyle/garments.

Re: Quick update: 2 all-new titles
Hmmm... that set design rather vaguely reminds me of Lubitsch's "Bergkatze", but that is already out in the forthcoming set. I'm pretty clueless, though it curiously does look somewhat familiar...hmmm..... I'd have thought about L'Herbier, but he already has a film out on MoC.
Edit: denti, you may be on the right track....something from that era. Perhaps even from Martin's "Von morgens bis Mitternacht" (unseen by me).

Re: Quick update: 2 all-new titles
My gut instinct tells me this is Spanish and from 1930.
But I don't know why. I just feels that way.
It's not Jutzi's Mutter Krausens, which would have been a coup, and is of this era.

Re: Quick update: 2 all-new titles
It's definitely not American Pie or Road Trip. I can confirm that much.

k - it's survived the first hour of Twitter and CCF guesses. I have a second grab from the same film lined up. Will post that in the morning if no-one's got it.

Re: Quick update: 2 all-new titles
I'll post a grab from the other film when someone gets this one, otherwise it's too confusing.

Re: Quick update: 2 all-new titles
btw. these grabs are not even from the finished encode. They're from a rough BITC DVD-R encoded on the fly.

Do we have any architects around here? I'm guessing that if someone can determine the style of fencing, we can probably guess which country the movie came from.

Re: Quick update: 2 all-new titles
I'm pretty sure I know who the director is, but I really don't know which film it is, as I haven't seen a lot of his work.

Re: Quick update: 2 all-new titles
Seems to be pieces of broken wooden railing around the body - did it fall down from a balcony above?...

Re: Quick update: 2 all-new titles
Well, it looks like my original guess of Bunuel is wrong, as now it seems like something from Russia. (I assume it's Russian....)
