I'd certainly be tempted more often. I ordered this as well. Now to sell the MoC DVD...

I have just bought Face of Another, Salesman and Vampyr on Amazon for 28 pounds, shipped.

Seems like a fair deal.

I think you should start selling some blu-rays exclusively from Amazon and your website, especially Metropolis would be a huge hit and raise awareness of your business model.

What difference would it make to sell exclusively from Amazon and the Eureka website? How would that draw attention to our "business model"?

Speaking as a consumer, I don't like HMV. Their shops are too pricey, and their website is crap and too pricey also. My stomach turns when I hear something is an "HMV exclusive". I just think, "oh what a load of crap".

I agree on exclusives and I don't understand how exclusivity would help you either.

My main problem with HMV, as an American, is their ridiculous shipping cost. I much prefer Amazon, as far as I know, they are the only online UK retailer that removes VAT from purchases being shipped outside the EU also.

Peerpee,

Just out of curiosity could you give us a general idea of how many people have ordered direct from Eureka? I think it's an excellent idea and have already placed an order. It's almost like the subscription service idea that was tossed around once. I will preorder every MOC release if it continues to follow this model.

You could save on distribution costs, therefore your prices could be cheaper and that may create a bigger turnover.

Just received mine, lightening speed delivery! I would also prefer buying direct with MoC so that they get more funds directly to produce more discs. Will have a find a way to off-load the SD version though.

I managed to sell my SD copy on ebay last night, which almost paid for this blu-ray copy!

Might have...

Not wanting to push my luck, but do you subtract VAT shipping out of the EU? As Amazon do, but still consider us down here in the Channel Islands as UK for free postage, this is one of the main reasons they get so much of my business.

Mind you, considering the shocking state of my kevyip, and the seeming lack of time to actually do anything about it, maybe I shouldn't even be considering this!

No, but then I'm not on the list. I figured anything good would trickle out to here anyways.

What do you have to do to be on the list? It's been years since I've gotten an interesting email.

Got it! Ordered the Godard yesterday, but thinking about placing an order for the Lubitsch set. But as its value is more than £20, I´d have to pay custom fees etc... Need some time to make up my mind. When does the sale end?

I'd just like to say this is a great thing. I would much rather buy directly from Eureka than have to go through amazon if the prices are comparable. I bought Sunrise directly and will definitely be picking up Une femme mariée.

I got the mail, great idea. Please continue with preorders like this. I think we all like to buy directly from you, without giving money to some link in between.

Also it is atleast a little better for me, even at the same price as other vendors, because else I get my moc from play, and they come with the risk of getting hit by a custums charge.

Play sends from Jersey, which is outside of EU.
