Wait, this is the Criterion 25% off code that now only gives you 6% off, or the B&N link? Damn, mine is backordered 'cause of the stupid Pierrot le fou BR ... they'd better not cancel on the grounds that the AFS code was a glitch.

Hold the phone!

The 25% off is now working again on everything!

(This is all regarding the Criterion site by the way)

Thanks for the coupon code to the OP of it--amazing deal combined with the StudioCanal reductions.

I'm not getting any confirmation emails for my orders. I've sent an email to Criterion--anybody else not getting emails?

For the last couple orders I've placed on their website, I never got an email until the backordered item I ordered was back in stock.

I placed an order over the weekend but it was for two pre-release items (Yojimbo/Sanjuro; Vivre sa vie). No e-mail confirmation, but the order is listed under my account at the Criterion site. I doubt there will be an e-mail until the first one ships.

I placed a larger order with some that were available and some that were backordered this morning. I chose the free shipping option and they nicely split my order in two (not charging for shipping!) and are sending me the non-backorders separately. I just checked- and received a tracking code! So I should be getting my 25% off order (at least the half not back-ordered) this week! =D>

Two things:

According to someone on FB, The Orphic Trilogy is now listed as OOP on the site, and my orders have been shipping from Louisville, which is where all my Amazon orders ship from. All I've purchased from Criterion were cases and posters and such, so I guess I thought they also hand-shipped their DVDs out.

But yeah, I'm assuming someone else processes all that re: "they're working the weekend."

Strange- since they said they would honor sales until the end of the month. Glad I placed my order the other day! If anyone still hasn't picked it up, The Orphic Trilogy is back in stock on Amazon- albeit for the awful price of $71.99

Well if it's sold out it's sold out.

Well, it's been my assumption that they have been sending more orders for pressings- leading to the backorder wait. Or have they just been working with a limited supply anyway? Who would've thought the least discounted title going OOP would be the first to go.

They're probably getting excess supplies from retailers?

Just in case anyone is wondering, you can't apply this code to your already placed order (at least, I didn't notice a way to do that); luckily, mine was still in backorder until the 12th for some reason, which is weird cause all of the DVDs I purchased in late February are in stock now (Grand Illusion, Mayerling, Pierrot). I just removed them all from my order, effectively canceling the order, and then re-ordered them, plus Le Corbeau, which means I'm paying two dollars less for an extra DVD. Great find!

So I screwed up and accidentally ordered an SD of Pierrot instead of the Blu that I wanted. Criterion's site says I can do an exchange by simply mailing the disc back, but I don't want to screw up my chances here. Shipping from Oregon to NY on the presumption that an OOP Blu will make its way back to me is too risky (and time is running out). I e-mailed Criterion yesterday, no response yet. Any suggestions?

If you really want to be sure of getting the BD, I would order the Blu separately and either ship the SD back to Criterion for a refund after you get the Blu or sell the SD after it goes OOP. I'm sitting on a SD myself that I plan to eBay after I've watched the prices for awhile.

Here's the back side since you all know how the front looks.

Is the store out of commission? I can't find a log in link on the site anymore.

"To celebrate, when we hit 50,000 Facebook fans, we'll post a promo code for 50% off all in-stock DVDs and Blu-rays at Criterion.com, but get ready -- the code will only be valid for 50,000 seconds!"

Get ready for the 13.888 hour sale, bitches.

I wonder if that's 50% off MSRP or off of their current prices? If it's current prices, that'll be amazing, but I doubt it.

Yeah, there's no way they're stacking 50% on top of their normal discount. I'm so happy: I have over $450 that I have squirreled away from selling my DVDs in anticipation of upgrading in a big Blu sale.
