Apologies sienel, that's sloppiness on my part. Had I paid closer attention to the disc's booklet I would have been aware that the film in question is Ça c'est du cinéma from 1951. Frustratingly, however, I cannot find any confirmation of this online, despite many reviews/articles mentioning the French origins.
