Doug Pratt's DVDLaser
All the links at Doug Pratt's DVDLaser have been broken for a while now. Clicking the subscribe link gives an error, and email sent to the provided address is bounced. Is Doug Pratt's DVDLaser newsletter still in business? I searched this forum and some posters still got the newsletter in 2008.

Re: Doug Pratt's DVDLaser newsletter gone?
Not to worry. The link is working now. The newsletter is still active. I received the June issue.
The email address hasn't been valid for a long time, though.

The home page link always works, but all the links on the site don't - the subscribe, index, back issue, links, etc. - and haven't been working for a very long time.
How many pages does it have now? And do you still get it in PDF format in addition to paper copies?

He used to complain a lot about the grain on early DVDs - does he review Blu-Ray discs now ?

Re: Doug Pratt's DVDLaser newsletter gone?
Any way I can subscribe since all the links on the site are broken? Anyone have their snail mail address and/or phone# so I can contact them?
I've been checking this site regularly and I swear its links have been broken for years. I thought maybe the guy had retired! Hasn't he wondered why suddenly there were no new subscribers?
I subscribed it for a few yeras in the early 90s during the glorious laserdisc days, when the new and exciting LD format together with the newsletter's extraordinary depth and content brought me great pleasure. In the early DVD days (circa 2000), the site also offered back issues in PDF format that were disabled for printing and/or password-protected.

Out of curiosity, does Doug Pratt still run the annual Consumer Poll in the DVD-Laserdisc Newsletter? I'd be curious to see what his readers pegged as their most desired films not available on DVD or Blu-Ray.

Re: Doug Pratt's DVDLaser
Finally got a hold of Doug and got the subscription.
The email address on his website was wrong (it has now been fixed) so my email was bounced. His website has a link to Moviecitynews.com, so I went there and got his other, and correct, email address.
I paid him $29.95/year for PDF copies instead of $47.50 for paper copies.
His website is still full of broken links but Doug said that is beyond his control.

That's what he said. His exact words were "The website, I'm afraid, has never been in my control and so there is not much I can do about it but complain."
