I can't find a bigger version of this, but maybe that's for the best:

I guess ""Should have been aborted!" - Armond White" didn't make the cut.domino harvey wrote:The Amazon art is inaccurate:

Bob Hoskins can't even begin to hide his disdain for the cover he finds himself on. Michael Caine, meanwhile, reassures himself that it could be worse - he could've been on the Jaws 4 cover, after all.

Not Altman's best by a longshot. Still, at least the first issue Paramount disc used the poster art. #-o

So...does the disc come in a custom, can-shaped package or is it a standard amaray with a picture of a can on it?

Standard amaray. The can is superimposed over a white background. It looks even worse in person.CSM126 wrote:So...does the disc come in a custom, can-shaped package or is it a standard amaray with a picture of a can on it?

This was posted previously, but without a key piece of information: I bought it today at Sam's Club for $4.26 and it comes in a plastic "evidence bag". hilarious.

I know it's not a DVD cover, but I needed to post this here. I think this is a new low in the way companies are marketing stuff.

This image is probably too small to fully appreciate the slapped together crappiness of this cover:

I assume I should be glad that I have no idea who Bella or Edward are (and I guess I should avoid this thread from now on in case somebody tries to enlighten me!)

Admit it - just the sight of them makes you want to find out what their favorite book is, and buy it.zedz wrote:Post-Enya warbling duo?

It gets worse- there's one for Romeo and Juliet in the same style, which contains both the play and a novelization. Of Romeo and Juliet.willoneill wrote:I think every English professor that I ever had just slit their own throats.dx23 wrote:I know it's not a DVD cover, but I needed to post this here. You and I evidently don't know the same English professors...I think every English professor that I ever had just slit their own throats.
But does it have a 16-page full color insert? It gets worse- there's one for Romeo and Juliet in the same style, which contains both the play and a novelization. Of Romeo and Juliet.

Re: Worst DVD Covers...ever! (Part 3-D)
Hahaha! Seriously, the Longfellow translation? Whose bright idea was that?
"What version of The Inferno should we use to lure in the twenty-something male gamers that compose our target audience? Some modern, twenty-first century rendition?"
"Nah, we're going to go with this stuffy 19th century translation, that'll bring in the kids."
"Of course!"
Yeah, it's probably the only public domain translation out there (I imagine they blew their entire budget on getting that scyth rendered just so), but my version's more amusing.
