I'm on the verge of adding the Naruse set to my cart even though I told myself I'd stick with my two initial DVDs.

But at this price, it'd be ridiculous to pass.

If you have the tech, it is essential. Naruse is one of the best directors I've seen films of and if reputation is anything to go by these films are top of the line even for him. Plus MOC deserves to make some money back on their investment.

Yes, it would be! Go for it and thank us later. The presentation is superb and the movies are heavenly. It's unlikely we'll see any more Naruse soon anyway so get the box now. It's not like MOC could go any cheaper with this set on future sales.

Ordered on Tuesday; received on Saturday. I have no idea how it got to America so fast, but kudos to MOC. The two DVDs showed up just fine. I thought that the Kurosawa was light on extras until I looked at the sizable essay in the booklet. :P I was surprised that the Sirk wasn't a flipper case, but it's still fine. I look forward to watching it later this week.

Any news on pre-orders? Only a week to go until Burmese Harp and The World are to be released.

Ended up leaving the Pialat for some other time, but after watching "House", I think I should've ordered it instead. Oh well, next time.

So, nobody getting anything this time around? :P

I picked up Vampyr for the Del Toro commentary and Phantom- I'm kicking myself because I kept putting off getting Tabu, and of course now it's not on sale anymore. Ah, well.

Oh, I'm definitely picking up a few things when I get paid. Anyone know how long this sale is running?

There's someone on ebay selling sealed MOC Sansho Dayu/Gion Bayashi sets for £7.50 delivered. I think they only deliver in the UK though.

Hum... Do I have 40 bucks to shell out right now on this dual format release...
Could be my first blu-ray for the time when I make the switch... T-shirt will probably be too big for me... I'll have to think about it!

Also, will the DVD be region-free?

Will we be able to choose the size we want for the t-shirt?
