I haven't, but it sounded like Der Spieler (in Canada) did.

For some reason, I thought he was in Europe.

Unless he is a Canadian from Quebec, he is definitely European since he mentioned that English is not his first language.

It seems weird to be talking about him instead of letting him speak for himself, but yeah, he's Quebecois

My copy of Tabu showed up, and it's the fat-spined version. It's intact, so I'm not too worried, but I was kind of surprised; is the slim one mythical?

To my knowledge they just updated it to the regular spine and so it won't be until the next round when people will get thin spined. Though I'm extra glad that you posted this because it signals to me that my second might not be lost.

Over the Xmas/New Year holiday, the LUBITSCH IN BERLIN box set was mistakenly believed to be out-of-print due to being temporarily out of stock at our manufacturer, and was added to a brief 48-hour sale on the OOP page at the Eureka site. This should never have happened, the box set being less than a year old, and was an error on our part - for which we apologise. We've improved communication so that this won't happen again.

I don't even mind if it was a marketing trick if it helped you move some boxsets. This way you can ensure that it won't go OOP :P

I ordered Tabu in the last sale, and mine is the slimmer version. It's got a 2011 copyright on the back as well as stating it's the second pressing.

Fantastic! -- Eureka must have been completely out of the fat spine TABU.

It's odd that I got my order I made on the second, but not the one I made on the first. I figure if it doesn't come today than I'll(and probably you should too) email them: [email protected]

Now more than 3 weeks waiting on an Amazon UK shipment. I guess I won't enquire for another week. Even if this had been shipped by SHIP, it should have arrived -- so I assume there is a huge processing bottleneck in US Customs for routine "airmail".

After my order from Germany took fifty days to arrive, I can hardly be bothered with agitation towards a month's wait. Sad but true, Amazon and other UK orders used to take eight days to get here

I just wish there was some way to figure out how long things were sitting in Customs (or maybe in some new Homeland Security holding facility).

I actually got a customs bill from UPS from an Amazon.co.uk order-- I have been ordering things from overseas for years and have never had to pay customs charges. Call me ignorant, but I didn't realize we had to in America?

I got a bill for an Amazon Japan shipment (DVDs were under $100 - but shipping brought the total over this amount). This was also a first for me.

i'm assuming it's some international shipping backlog from the holidays. had an amazon.uk order that i place a couple days before the MoC take a whole month to get to me. i've never waited more than 2 weeks for a package to ship from the UK to the US EVER. but i did have one package from japan (a pricey dvd box set that was about $300) get held up in customs here. cost me $11 to free it. first only time that's ever happened to me, and i order a lot of stuff from overseas.

anyway, guess i'll contact eureka and see what's up...
