Gaumont are planning to release some Pialat in BD.

Loulou, Van Gogh & A nos amours are planned for 2011, and if the sells are OK, then maybe Sous le soleil de Satan & Police in a 2nd wave.

Le garçu is said to be more complicated, financially speaking, so maybe not before 2013.

Jérome Soulet is the video edition department director from Gaumont.

It would be very nice if they provide English subtitles for those Pialat Blu-ray releases.

Indeed, but I'll be surprised if it happens. Good fodder for homebrew versions, though.

Is this release out if print? Is there another website someone can recommend for me to find this release? Any help is appreciated!

Am I wrong, or does your eBay link take you to MOC's "Vampyr" and not the "Michael" DVD?

You're right. Sorry, I put the wrong link.

However, I have a spare copy of "Michael" here on Mount Kevyip and if he PMs me I'm willing to sell it.

Nabbed Une Femme Mariee, Sunrise, and Junebug BDs. Probably shouldn't have spent the money but couldn't resist those prices. \:D/

Junebug is one of the best films of the last several years and will justify that purchase all by itself.

And it's even region-free and ports over everything on the R1 disc and then adds to it

Just ordered City Girl. At that price, it seemed rude not to. :)

My father taught me, and he's a priest (lutheran) by profession, that it's rude to speak of price.

Yes, it really is. It's got a tremendous atmosphere, and some truly creepy moments. Definitely one of the best evil children films.

I personally think it holds up better than many other movies with creepy kids. If you like those kind of films (i.e. Village of the Damned, Children of the Damned, Children of the Corn, etc.), then I think you'll find Who Can Kill A Child? to be even better. It just has a great dirty/gritty '70s vibe that I find enjoyable. I'm curious to know how Eureka's transfer is going to compare to Dark Sky Film's 2007 DVD release?

Who Can Kill a Child? is great and Beaver just posted a comparison between the older Dark Sky release and the new Eureka DVD.

I suppose there's no copies of Akasen/Yokihi kicking around the warehouse. That's the only MoC Mizoguchi missing from my shelf. Disappointing.
