I'm not sure if it's the initial order or the replacement, but mine also arrived today. I'm looking forward to finally watching Silence de la mer again.

My long-awaited Amazon UK package finally arrived. No indication on the packaging to suggest why it got hung up so long in the mail (or Customs or whatever).

willoneill wrote:Maybe this is just a US problem, because I have pretty regular shipments coming from the UK (both Amazon UK and Eureka), and they've all come within 7 or 8 business days of dispatch, and none were help up at Customs.
I posted this in another thread, and I'll repeat it here in a less tentative way: it is a U.S. problem. As a result of the inkjet cartridge bomb found in a parcel last October, as of November 2010 all packages and most mail from overseas must be inspected in New York. I heard this second-hand from someone at La Poste in Paris: they used to ship to about 20 locations in the U.S. every day, and now they can only deliver to one location a few times a week. There is also a considerable backlog here in the U.S., so packages that used to take a week and a half to receive now will often take 4 to 6 weeks. It's not really about Customs duties. I hope this information helps.
I also hope the new Homeland Security restrictions (or whatever they should be called) get ironed out so that the process for scanning packages can run a bit more efficiently.

Does anyone know anything about how Eureka tends to package their shipments? I ask because today I received one fully packed box containing 9 of the 23 titles I ordered. I'm hoping that the rest will arrive in separate packages, but was curious if anybody here knew how they processed larger orders.

Yesterday I received two packages from Amazon UK, completing an order I made a little over a week ago. Maybe things really are getting back to normal.

Got my box of Mizoguchi today. The package had very clearly been opened, with no attempt to seal it closed again. Luckily no damage to the box or DVDs inside.

Woot, the Lubitsch set finally came today. Though what was really weird is that a amazon.uk purchase also came, pt with a German customs form attached. Looked soaked in rain too.

I received what appears to be the original shipment of my January 2 order from MOC today, 20 days after a replacement for this order has arrived. The box was opened, but no damage to DVDs. Got my missing Amazon.uk order from early January too last week.

I have been awaiting the last month and a half since I pre-ordered it, but my copy of Pigs and Battleships arrived perfectly today here in overly hot Los Angeles. I felt so much joy to get it!

All the sale items turned up today \:D/ Dropping some of them over to a very happy friend later. Still no dispatch on my Moviemail pre-order's of Coeur Fidele and Pigs and Battleships. Anyone else order through MM and finding delays?

Edit: All good with Moviemail, email confirmation of their sending received this afternoon.
