Doubt it will be Bicycle Thieves yet. Need more time for a Criterion special: Existing Blu-ray release + Another 8-12 months + Slightly different colour balance and/or contrast just to be different + New 10min extra just to be definitive. \:D/

Riso amaro will look stunning on Blu though, if the Italian DVD is anything to go by. There's real treasure trove in Italian cinema between the 40s and 60s just waiting to be discoved.

There were articles about those releases in today's New York Times and Wall Street Journal though. The S*******************m mention seems completely random if it's not coming tomorrow.

When Welt am Draht comes it will surely be the biggest visual improvement on an already existing Blu-ray release. The French one looks horrific.
