Maybe they'll release 400 other films this year too. How great would that be?

There'd better not be any films I hate in there, though!

I don't know, though. The 160 December titles we would get would probably be pretty weak, especially considering the 240 amazing titles we'd get in November. :(

No, no, the witty retort would reference Truffaut.

Fuck new titles. Is there anyway I can get Jon Mulvaney to come to my birthday party instead?

As a guest or as some sort of party entertainment? Instead of a magician pulling rabbits from hats it can be Mulvaney the Magnificent finding Rivette blu-rays behind your ear.

I don't think he'd like performing at a party like that for kids, though, as it's minor work

Mulvaney rarely takes corporeal form, so him showing up at all would be the magic act.

He used to do a vaudeville act with Roderick Jaynes.

Right, so, you could in fact produce "Mulvaney" at a party very easily, if ya know what I'm sayin', no? Hey, I wonder if I could start a new career as a Mulvaney impersonator....

Next time you're at a party and someone says that the StudioCanal titles are on their way back into the collection because SC's unhappy about Lionsgate, pull Mulvaney out of nowhere ... "I heard what you were saying! You know nothing about rights issues! How you ever got to be a contract lawyer is totally amazing!"

Boy, if life was only like that!

Boudu Saved from Drowning re-release would go nicely with The Rules of the Game re-release.

I don't think we'll be seeing that many titles in one month. I have a hunch the most likely titles for tomorrow will be:

Bicycle Thieves (blu-ray)
Bitter Rice
City Lights
The Rules of the Game (re-release)
Rushmore (blu-ray)
The Three Colors Trilogy
Y tu mama tambien

Ghost World and Sunday, Bloody Sunday will probably be released sometime in 2012.

Wild Stawberries is going to be a new edition or just a blu-upgrade?

As far as I know, we have no information beyond a clue that it was going to come out sometime this year via the New Year's cartoon. I'm kind of surprised they didn't time it to match The Phantom Carriage.

Someone posted that they didn't have any Antonionis upgrades on the schedule, of course I'd love that to be false.
