Sarah Palin's unprecedented rating system: 32 1/2 stars! That *is* hard to beat, you must give her that, folks.

Maybe that stands for how many American states she approves of, which begs the question of which one only got half marks.

That's fake. If I'm wrong I'd rather be dead.

Right from Blu-ray.com. I'd say it's temp art, except they're obviously trying to approximate actual Super 8 boxes, which means someone actually thought that was a good idea and designed that

Even the box has a lens flare!

The cover works though, because everyone knows what a Super 8 box looks like.

At least Warner Bros is consistent with their shitty Judy Garland Blu-ray covers:

I think the Super 8 cover is kind of clever, but have to agree that those with nostalgic feelings towards super 8 film cartons probably do not constitute the film's target audience.

After you pointed that out, the Super 8 cover doesn't look so bad. Still, I agree that the effect is diminished when it has to be explained.

The Meet Me In St. Louis looks so tacky, but it isn't enough to put me off buying it. That's a highly anticipated Blu for me.

I take it the asterisk refers you to a footnote saying "actually ghost-directed by Spielberg. You know, like Poltergeist!".

As someone who actually shot a lot of Super 8mm footage in the 70s...I didn't immediate get that the Blu-ray cover was aping the old Kodachrome box design. I recall the boxes being a little more orange myself, but that might have been the faster speed version that featured a blue bar on the packaging. Either way, a red bar on yellow doesn't make me feel instantly nostalgic.

The way they're positioned makes no sense spatially, so one is left to wonder if the film features a 1 1/2-foot Rex Harrison, or a 20-foot Audrey Hepburn.

Either scenario would make that movie exponentially more interesting

I wouldn't mind a lil portable Rex Harrison. Perfect for emergency quips and snide putdowns

Rex's eyeline seems to be about level with Audrey's bow area though, which cannot have been unintentional, given Rex's expression.

Although the size difference does make it look as if Audrey could take her giant hat off and throw it entirely over him if she got annoyed with his gaze.

Maybe not "worst" cover, but the back of my "American Grafitti" German disc lists a video commentary by "John Lucas". (George's brother, perhaps?)

Just for the egregious spelling mistake ... one I'm particularly sensitive to.

It's Ed O'Neill, not "O'Neil" ... like Will O'Neill

It's not a huge error, maybe just a typo, but if I was an actor, I'd like to credited properly on a dvd cover.

I've owned Fox's DVD of The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie since its release in 2003 or '04, but I only just realized the other day that, according to the back of the cover, the film was directed by Robert Neame.
