Just skip the rest of Season 1 and start with Season 2. It picks up an incredible amount of momentum almost immediately.

I've been a little sad that Retta hasn't had much to do this season. Now I see the writers were saving it all up for this episode.

Her line-delivery of "fine leather goods" might have been the highlight of the entire episode for me.

I know it's not our forum's mascot show, but man, I thought tonite's was one of the best episodes ever

I guess I won't be skipping tonight's episode then. Swanson aside I must admit i haven't been satisfied by the show yet. When the jokes are relayed back to me it works perfectly, but there's something about how the show delivers them that feels off to me.

Pretty excited for my first chance to use this one:
That's very strange what you just said. I don't like it as much as that other thing you said.

I'm going to try to use:
The End.

By Leslie Knope.
Agreed that this was one of the strongest episodes, not just of this season, but probably in the overall run for the show. Not that I want to build up unrealistic expectations about the episode's quality, but it was a great showcase for everything the show does well, while still maintaining its modest and understated delivery.

It reminded me so much of the "Mixology" episode of Community last season, where the jokes are tempered with a real melancholy tone and the emotion comes from an earned place. I mean, this was as hilarious as any episode ("Remake the movie Kazaam, with Shaquille O'Neal, and get it right this time"), but the sweetness of the Andy and April storyline matched against the twin failures of Leslie and Tom (and how they dealt with their blows) transcended any cloying sitcom trappings

I'm pretty sure I could just watch an all-Andy version of this show

NBC sure loves to sell us stuff from this show, huh? Probably has something to do with over 75% of the show's audience being in the key demo

Chris was wildly out of character, and they've stretched the Ben and Leslie relationship drama thing several episodes too thin at this point.

Between the reactions to this episode and the Community episode, I'm beginning to think you guys have lost all perspective. Maybe you need to watch an episode of 2 Broke Girls to recalibrate your apparatus.

To be fair, I liked this show's ep last night, even if it was the weakest of the season so far

Just caught up with last night's episode. Glad to see this show is still hitting rather consistent highs. If this is the weakest episode of the season, that's just a testament to how amazing the current run of episodes has been.

Whoa, whoa, whoa! Let's not take any drastic actions. That might qualify as some form of cruelty.

I thought it was the best. A few laugh worthy moments, just enough Ron, Tammy 2, and Andy, Chris having his first great episode of the season (I'm tempted to say best I've ever seen from him), and even the documentary aspects and that damned love story worked for me. I don't know where the negative reactions are coming from.

How great was the scene where Leslie organizes her P&R troops to mount her defense? Every time I think Chris Pratt has reached some comedy pinnacle with the stuff Andy does, he continues to execute another hilarious moment.
Spoiler
This time it was Andy getting distracted in the middle of Leslie's instructions. It was also great that Ron didn't know the department heads and that Donna called out the general incompetence of the men in the department.

Spoiler
I think that was the hardest I've ever laughed while watching the show. It's not even how he was distracted, but the way. His head moving in that babyish way was just perfect.

This was another killer episode, but Andy and the marshmallow fluff nearly made me break a blood vessel

Agreed, though my favorite Andy-moment from this episode was his expression when Ann told him to throw up.

I guess I'll be the first on the forum to welcome the show back.

Not the best episode, but at least this Thursday was only half disappointing.
