Funny. I saw that the other day and I actually did wonder wtf the words "self-sacrifice" were doing being associated with Ayn Rand. But I just assumed epic cynicism on the part of the studio. It's actually respectable in a weird way that they're embarrassed by this.

I'd guess that's the real cover art but that the banners are promotional only. That generally seems to be Universal's m.o.

The actual cover is slightly different, and it's a digibook (there's a picture of it at digitalbits.com 11/29 (link)). Can't tell if it has hubs or slots to hold the discs, picture just makes it look like a regular book with 2 discs sticking out of it.

Wow, didn't realize the horrors of WWI trench warfare were deadened with LSD! That is one butt-ugly cover! Don't think even Alpha or Madacy have stooped that low.

Assuming the colors look more sepia and less oil-slick rainbow in person, I don't think that's necessarily going to be awful looking. Pretty awful picture, though.

I didn't realize we were celebrating the 100th anniversary of AQotWF.

The 100th anniversary of Universal Pictures, actually - AQotQF is just being released on Blu-ray during the Studio's anniversary year.

Holy hell, bad photoshop with differing quality all over the cover.

Is that Toshiro Mifune from Yojimbo in the bottom left? And Ken Watanabe from Last Samurai on the right?

Is it at all possible to resize some of these giant cover images before posting them? What a pain. I'm not asking for thumbnail versions or anything but something that actually fits on the screen would be nice.

EDIT: Thanks Foam.

Is it just me or are the cover artists for Blu-rays much more lazy than the DVD ones? I'm pretty sure the covers are done by different departments entirely since for the most part all the Blu Rays I've purchased the last 6 months have had utterly atrocious "artwork."

Thanks designers at Sony, you have made a great film look like it was made by The Asylum.

I quite like it but I always prefer that classic poster feel.

Jesus, I've preordered both. The transfers better be absolute stunners to make up for the blemishes on my shelves.

I'm pretty sure that still from Rebecca has been flipped so that the two heads could be positioned to accommodate that cheerleading banner.
