Kinda preffer to buy direct.

Each offer is generally only up for a few weeks, but there's usually about one a month. The current offers are running until the 13th.

I was expecting that the free Blu(s) in this offer would likely be non-MoC Eurekas. I seem to remember they did a free DVD offer a couple years ago and I got Black Shield of Falworth.

Got the same! It is nice. I can't imagine I'd ever have bought it, but pleased to get the chance to see it. Ta, Eureka.

Heh, I was afraid it might be one of the Eureka Blus I already own and it seems to be. Haven't received mine yet but this will unfortunately end up on eBay as I know no one owning a Blu-ray player and interested in a movie like this.

Since this page got bumped, it reminded me about the Black Friday sale where I preordered Punishment Park and Two Lane Blacktop, but never got my mystery blu. Anyone else in the states still missing theirs?

Yeah, never got the mystery blu either. I'm hoping at least that it'll ship with the two preorders.

I'm envious -- double mystery Blu-rays: you don't know what they are or where they are.

Anyone care to sell me a copy of Pitfall or know of a local shop near them with a rogue copy? they seem to be very thin on the ground online for reasonable prices at the moment.

Is £12.99 the new general price for MoC Duals? all this months releases, and Repo Man are at this price on Most sites now.

Editions that have 2 x Blu-rays in them, or 2 x films, will be dearer -- but yes, we're trying to get everything else at £12.99.

There's going to be a "price-rise" in April on everybody's releases, due to the closing of the Jersey VAT-loophole, so stuff won't be this price for long, I'm afraid.

I use my coupon code at Zavvi so that I'll get Punishment Park and Le Silence de la Mer for GBP 11.54 delivered :D .

Spose so. There's no real method to the madness! We're trying to come up with a better way of doing it.

I was just curious as Moviemail even have them at that price, and usually they normally price them around £18.

That shouldnt effect the prices on Amazon though right? I know when i occasionally order from them i'm charged the 20% VAT.

They're aiming for January 16th I believe.

This might not be correct, but I believe that all prices on Amazon.co.uk (of things that are shipped from the Channel Islands) are going to rise because of the VAT increase. Obviously, if you're outside of the UK and get the VAT removed by Amazon.co.uk anyway, then that will still apply and you won't be affected.

What is the VAT increase that you are mentioning?

The rate won't be increased but the UK government is closing the so-called "Jersey loophole" which has allowed many on-line retailers to ship from the Channel Islands to the UK without VAT on under-£15 (previously £18) items. This means that from April they will have to increase prices for those items by 20% (the current rate) or absorb the cost themselves. Perhaps MoC sales won't be too badly affected but generally I think it's another nail in the coffin for UK disc sales, and far too late to help High Street stores as claimed.

I gather some companies plan to move their depots to other non-EU countries but the UK government has already said if this happens they will combat it, such as by reducing the Lower Value Consignment Relief further, or abolishing it altogether, meaning 20% tax will be payable on all imports whatever their value or source.
