I just stabbed myself in the eyes and am typing this blind out of disgust for that cover.

Honestly though, aside from the front cover, it's not that bad. But I'm sure many here will claim I might as well be blind.

Doesn't look like the Three Outlaw Samurai artwork is there, Chris.

EDIT: Nevermind I found it, your link is just going to "dvd-info" instead of "dvd-packaging".

NOW I KNOW WHY "INERT FURY UNIT" IS AN ANAGRAM FOR TINY FURNITURE

(So is this warning/advice: "Unfit, try urine")

It's not that bad. The cover's ugly sure, but the rest reminds me of the eclipse covers which at worst are things which exist.

I just received a copy of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button from Amazon without a slipcover. Is this normal? It's sort of throwing off my entire collection, and I don't even like the film so I'm particularly annoyed

Paramount ditched the slipcovers after the initial run. Just don't sort it with the rest of your Criterions. For all intents and purposes its not really a Criterion release anyway.

Oh, it's got a spine number and a wacky C so it's real Criterion all right. mfunk is screwed forever, no way around it. Good thing I got mine its first week in release and can't tell there's anything amiss from a distance.

...although I don't like the movie much either.

Anatomy of a Murder looks to have pretty fantastic artwork throughout and glad to see all of them have some kind of artwork on the inside cover.

Wow, some mediocre covers this year. The Being John Malkovich cover is pathetic.

This is easily the month with the worst covers since the early spine numbers.

They've put up "placeholder" cover art on announcement day before, right? They're all bad, but that Certified Copy cover can not be the final product.

So this is what they meant when they told that Criterion Chaplin fan on Facebook to pay attention on announcement day.
