It's not bad, but certainly not as good as Maria Full of Grace. No Catalina Sandino Moreno (or equivalent) makes quite a difference.ianungstad wrote:Forgiveness of Blood is a film I've been meaning to see. I did see Maria Full of Grace which I thought was excellent. Joshua Marston is quite talented. I'm certainly interested. These are the kind of IFC releases that I'm happy to see.

well if the Wenders set is four movies, they'd probably assign a fifth number to the box itself. so it's probably something other, like the Pasolini.

me too. and by the looks of it, both could come next month at this point (I could see Pasolini being bumped back to the first week of November due to some sort of delay)

Is it normal for Criterion to skip spine numbers and delay the corresponding titles? (any past examples?)

I can't give any specific examples, but there used to be spine number holes all the time before Criterion's announcements got more regimented, and those holes would get plugged in with later releases.Frumaster wrote:Is it normal for Criterion to skip spine numbers and delay the corresponding titles? Seems like a missed opportunity not to bend the rules further and make Rosemary's Baby spine #666.

I'm sure you can find loads of examples if you rifle through this list.jedgeco wrote:I can't give any specific examples, but there used to be spine number holes all the time before Criterion's announcements got more regimented, and those holes would get plugged in with later releases.Frumaster wrote:Is it normal for Criterion to skip spine numbers and delay the corresponding titles? After Kim Newman's announcement of a new booklet essay for The Blob, I had assumed an October release was all but certain.
