I thought Dark Territory was something that existed only in Casey Ruback movies. Great episode!

I might have missed something...
Spoiler
Were most of the tanks supposed to be filled with methylamine? Because otherwise it seems unlikely that they could have predicted a good position where they would be close to a tank that they could siphon from. I know Lydia was supposed to identify which tank(s) had what they wanted, but the fact that she had to do this suggests that not all of the tanks would have worked.
Amazing ep though. If I had a heart condition, I doubt I would have made it through the episode.

Spoiler
The final minute was right up there with Walt killing the dealers with his car, this was... wow. Can't imagine how terrible this will be for Jesse, the guy seems to just attract children-in-danger situations.

I was wondering the same thing, especially after Lydia mentioned that she would have to confirm the manifest beforehand in order for the crew to know which tank to hit. It seemed odd that Jesse was measuring out the length of the train, because I had no idea how they were going to make this work if the tank was at the front of the train. It didn't seem plausible that they were going to be able to haul the length of hose that would be necessary to cover the entire length of the train. As a total aside, I kept thinking of Groundskeeper Willie when I saw the hose (The hoose! The hoose!).

It started making more sense once the train arrived, because all of the last few train cars were tanks, while the first few looked like regular cargo. So, I'm willing to give them a break on this one, because Lydia might have meant that the liquid chemicals will be transported in tankers that are at the very end of the train, but they just won't know which one of the tanks contains the methylamine. I guess that's what she had to confirm. During the heist, it appeared as though they were siphoning off from the 2nd or 3rd last tank, so they probably brought enough hose to cover themselves in case the tank was a little closer to the front, but their margin of error didn't have to be the entire length of the train. Clearly, I've spent far too much time thinking of this.

I think I can buy that. As for spending too much time thinking about this, Breaking Bad has shown on several occasions that it stands up to such scrutiny, which is a big part of its appeal I think.

It was confirmed in the podcast that trains need to have a certain amount of cars between the front and any chemical tanks.

Less of a chance for the engineers being turned to mutants by a possible pile-up.

Bah, I meant Walt. And Declan is the guy Mike was going to sell his share of the methylamine too.

I'm partial to last week's episode as the best one of the season thus far, but last night's was very strong.

It felt very transitional to me. I'm honestly surprised by the overwhelming positive reaction. It was solid, but nothing blew me away.
