Carl th. Dreyer's masterpiece The Passion of Joan of Arc, the SteelBook comes wrapped in a luxurious slipcase which houses the SteelBook itself and a substantial book.
Sounds like this is a unique package. Presumably the susbstantial book is not exclusive to the Steelbook, it just couldn't be made to fit inside?

For one thing, I think there will be less room inside the steelbook as it will be housing both a Blu-ray and a DVD, whereas the other editions will have just one or the other.

Pre-ordered The Passion of Joan of Arc based on its rarity and the quality of the film. Couldn't care less about steelbook packaging (sold off my Metropolis steelbook to a maniacal steelbook collector on eBay for a very healthy profit recently) but the film is tremendous and the potential to swap it for the standard packaging one or two years in the future and line my pockets with some extra dough in the process (as I did with Metropolis) is too juicy to pass on.

Who will have the last laugh when the world is destroyed by flood and the only DVDs that survive are the ones encased in steel

We're supposed to watch them? I thought we were just supposed to masturbate to them sitting on the shelf.

Absolutely. Truman Capote said that masturbation is almost as much fun as dating but you don't have to dress up for it.

Concur with DL: watched Part 1 last night and some rougher shots in the latter half apart, it looked stunning for a 88-year old film. Part 2 to follow over the weekend.

I pre-ordered boy Mabuse and Rex and have not received either of them. I think they sent them out on 9/27 and usually it takes a few weeks to reach me in Chicago. The post office is pure evil here.

If I pre-ordered Die Nibelungen and Passion of Joan, will they both come at the same time or separately? Sorry, had never pre-ordered before ...

What's with the book "iPlot" in the Eureka Exclusives page? What's the connection with Eureka and this book?
