And it's coming to DVD/Blu-ray in the States Dec. 31 after a mid-September theatrical release. So yeah, quick trip from the big screen to TV screens worldwide.eerik wrote:It's on a channel called TV3, which is part of a big Nordic company, so I doubt it. I did some googling and it turns out they already showed it in Latvia on 8th and in Lithuania on 11th November.

Re: Looper (Rian Johnson, 2012)
Finally watched this last night. I really liked it. It's certainly sci-fi back to front, but I suspect this is the most Western-influenced of his three films. If Rian keeps this up, he'll become a force to be reckoned with in H-wood.
Speaking of which, now some Rainmaker talk-making

I read the ending as being a little more ambiguous than some other opinions here. I don't necessarily think the kid will become an angel just because he grows an understandable bond to his mother during the climax in the fields. That said, I'm unsure if he'll become a magical Norman Bates either. And to some contrary opinions, I think Rainmaker is a somewhat suitable name for someone who causes the kind of destruction he's ultimately capable of.
