Ryan Hansen played one of the best characters on the show.

Right, I didn't mean Hansen or Ritter -- I meant the other actors mentioned therein, whom I had to look up. "Deputy Sacks"?

Will they bring back Sydney Poitier as Ms. Dent and then have her vanish again mid-movie?

'Fraid I did. Hopefully that means I won't get bored if I watch the whole series again before the movie.

I rewatch all three seasons every year or so (yes, I'm one of the aforementioned season three apologists) and I just get sucked right back into it. Not every serialized show can be said to have such replay value!

Sneak Peek

This appears to have been a worthy investment.

i'm stoked on that teaser. good times will be had.

my wife and i are re-watching the series and it's a pretty potent reminder of just how damn good Bell was in it (she does the snarky/sarcastic/spunky thing so wonderfully, it hits that much more when you see how much it's a self-defense mechanism, and Bell plays the vulnerable stuff with equal aplomb). it's a shame nothing else has used her half as well--hopefully this movie will jump-start her career again and get her more good roles (or maybe Disney's Frozen will help, i dunno).

She was one-note (by design) but really great and very funny in Reefer Madness: the Movie Musical, though that was actually filmed before the show. I'm surprised no one's put her in another musical, really

in the re-watching i just ran into some retroactively surprising cameos. Jessica Chastain (!) was Sarah in "The Final Chapter" (i thought i'd seen her somewhere before i saw her in Tree of Life and Take Shelter) and Aaron Paul (Jesse from Breaking Bad) plays Eddie LaRoche, a.k.a. "The Worm," in "Silence of the Lamb."

Too bad Chastain and Paul are coincidentally in what are arguably the two worst Veronica Mars episodes, though. There's a fun "now he's a huge star" role in season three if you haven't watched it in the last couple years

It really took a lot less time than I expected for the Veronica Mars revival to hit the "nope, don't care about that" point for me.

Such a project would likely be years away
