There are two Jack Benny WAC releases exclusive to Movies Unlimited right now: The Horn Blows at Midnight and George Washington Slept Here. For Benny fans (I will include myself happily in that group), this is huge.

It's a sad state of affairs when a Perfect Strangers release would be a step in the right direction.

WAC is having another 5 for $50 sale for Columbus Day. Newer titles that were not included in the last sale are included this time (Lubitsch's Merry Widow, A Guy Named Joe, Mask of Dimitrios & the latest batch of Noirs, Nick Carter Mysteries, Ashby's Second-Hand Hearts, etc.)

Just a heads-up
Blu-ray.com wrote:This is probably best for the retall section, but not everyone looks there. If you ordered anything at WBShop in June or later, it's quite possible that your credit card and other information stored has been compromised. Datapak, the company that fulfills orders for WBShop has been hacked, and myself and several others on here have gotten fraudulent charges on their credit cards. My charge was in late August, and others have seen similar charges around the same time.

So please make sure you look at your CC activity and see if there's anything you didn't purchase on there. You should also be receiving mailing directly from DataPak, so don't just throw it away if you see it.
I just got my mailing on this last week. I was one of the lucky ones who got screwed (in August someone tried to pay for a $300 hotel room in Louisiana and an order from something called surfstitch.com with my card and I couldn't for the life of me figure out where my card number got stolen) and if you had more money in your account than I did, your charges might have gone through. Worth taking a closer look at your bank/CC records in any case

We just recently had to have our Mastercard number changed. Since I did buy from the WB shop, there might be a connection.

They may have got mine too. I was visiting family in another city in August, and I got a Chase alert for a hotels.com charge, which they traced to Georgia. It was weird because the previous day, I had increased my credit limit, and on top of that, I met someone for coffee who had their Chase card rejected for an unknown reason. (The same person also was putting on a play that same day, and I had gone to see it that night, charging the ticket on my same credit card.) With all this happening at the same time, I got all paranoid that either someone had copied my card in that 5 block radius or that someone somehow found out I raised my credit limit.

Hmm, my first and only order from WBShop was in August of last year. So, I should be in the clear, right?

I had over $700 in fraudulent charges to reebok.com at the end of August and also got a mailing from Datapak last week. Fortunately, my bank made the whole process of returning the money to my account incredibly simple, but it's satisfying to know now from where my information was stolen. Thanks for sharing.

Those asshats Datapak really f-ed up. The letter says the malware was installed on the site in MARCH. These fraudulent transactions happened in August, and the letter finally admitting to what happened isn't even dated until early October.

And they don't even say what site it was for in the letter! I had no idea until I saw this link to the Blu-ray.com forum posted elsewhere

Yeah, what the hell's with that?! Belated thanks for posting this, because had I not read this thread, I would've had no idea what the letter was for.

In the letter my bank sent telling me that my account might have been compromised and instructing me to start using a new card, there was no mention of the specific e-tailer either. Are they under some sort of legal obligation not to identify the culprit or something?

Posters on Blu-ray.com are reporting fraudulent charges as recently as 10/18! Basically, anyone who placed a credit card order with WB Shop between March and September should get a new credit card, if your bank hasn't already sent you one.

Looks like my last order was January 30, so I guess I just dodged that bullet. Damn -- you guys were starting to get my hopes up that some of my massive credit card balance might be fraudulent!

Somebody tried to buy a plane ticket from Buenos Aires but Amex caught it and sent me a nice notification to my phone and sent me a new card a couple of days later. I was trying to figure out how they got my card but I'm guessing this is it. The letter in the mail was ridiculously vague.

Danny Kaye is popular enough to go initially pressed: The Goldwyn Years & The Court Jester & The Five Pennies.

These two were initially pressed via Paramount, odd that they went to Archives to be eventually MOD'd, and A Song is Born was out via MGM. I wish Merry Andrew had made it to pressed, sigh

Are those Goldwyn features the first of the bunch acquired by Warner to go MOD? I certainly hope they don't go that route with Hawks' original Ball of Fire (although I know Domino prefers the Kaye version).

Something I have not noticed before - if on Warner Archive page you go to MOVIES > Replicated Discs, you'll get a list of all films that are not on DVD-R from Warner Archive.

Thanks. I hadn't seen that and it's really useful. The Miracle of Morgan's Creek and a lot of the other Paramounts are pressed!

Hey, thank's a lot for the information; "replicated" sounds to me to Blade Runner.
But they don't ship to Europe, correct ?
