Mame on Blu-ray seems unlikely given its status as one of Warners' budget releases they knocked way down in MSRP because it wasn't selling

I truly do not understand what the fuck is going on over there: The first season of the Mentalist has been announced as Warner Archives' next Blu-ray release?

Seems they're experimenting to see if a TV series that was released DVD only will have enough interest from people to upgrade to Blu-ray, which is easier to do for a show that was shot HD.

Batman: The Brave and the Bold Season 1 is forthcoming as well.

So far regular WHV have released previously DVD-only seasons of The Big Bang Theory and Supernatural, but in both of those cases they had subsequent Blu-ray seasons that were released day-and-date with sales figures to base their decision on.

What happened to that "upcoming" Blu-ray of Fearless they announced almost a year ago?

Also: "WAC expects to release a minimum of one to two Blu-ray titles per month." Or six a year, same difference.

I'm still hoping FEARLESS gets released soon as well. The film showed up in decent HD quality on HBO about a month ago; I'm taking that as a good sign.

Re: Fearless - there was a recent amazon.com listing for a November release which subsequently disappeared. The link shows up with links for Jumbo and Mentalist which have since been formally announced, so Fearless looks to be soon.

Re: release plans - obviously they hit some unanticipated snags. The continual delays of Greystoke points to having their planned schedule thrown out of whack for at least 4-5 months.

Clearly they spent the extra year perfecting that monster voice.

I've been saying for years that I wish more companies would announce their releases by posting videos of them being found in bowls of fruit. It's just good business. So kudos to Warner for that, and even more so for finally releasing a decent version of Fearless.

They ought to be pushing it with a custom tagline: "What's a little credit card theft? It's not like you almost died in a plane crash! Put things in perspective with Fearless."

Wow, I think Performance is the most exciting title they've done yet by a fair margin.

Yet how ironic that it's not going to be available to people in its country of origin, where it's always been far more appreciated.

I shall have to console myself with my Region B-locked BD of Donald Cammell's White of the Eye.

Hope they fix the inexplicable audio snafu during the Memo from Turner sequence from the otherwise decent DVD.

Hudsucker Proxy in the right aspect ratio beats this, but I'm excited for both of these Blu-ray releases

I asked them on their Facebook page if it would be fixed & they just responded yes!

Are these blu-rays on burnt discs like the DVDRs of the Archive DVDs? Or are the discs properly pressed? Thanks.
