Although this is no good to those of you living outside of the UK, MVC are having a 'big fat sale' (their words, not mine) instore, through which I picked up Asphalt for Â£5-99. The online the price isn't reduced.

That was the only MoC disc they had, and god knows I went through every item on the racks to check. I don't know if it'll be the same in all stores, but at least this branch (Romford) had something.

It is one pound per disc, so if it is a double disc release, like Michael, they charge two pounds.

Nick, why doesn't CDWOW sell MoC discs? It's the most reliable seller I can think of and it doesn't charge you any P&P to anywhere in the world. Are there plans for this to happen? I for one would be very happy as I buy from them often.

Annie, this is the answer I received from CD-WOW when asking about their plans for selling MoC discs:

"Hi David,

Thank you for your suggestion, we will review the Eureka catalogue and may add some of their releases in the very near future."

Amazon also dispenses with the tax for Australian buyers. They usually end up cheaper than Bensons.

Yes, they are cheaper than Bensons. If only Bensons would subtract the tax.

sendit.com have a couple of the titles significantly reduced at the present time.

Metropolis- Â£11-99
Spione - Â£10-99
Tartuffe - Â£10-99, and
Pitfall - Â£11-99

Actually, there are a few others so here's the full list

Postage is, I think, free to the UK. I'm not sure how the overseas charges stack up though, it might be that they're still too expensive once that's factored in.

Send it actually charges 1.6 pounds per DVD and they don't take off the VAT for those outside the UK.

Try dvdpricecheck.co.uk or find-dvd.co.uk, but bear in mind that these sites assume the DVD is being delivered to a UK address and show corresponding shipping rates. DVDpricecheck is looking to implement a setting where you can select a different delivery country, but it's not running just yet.

happyhunter.com does have that sort of setting already, but doesn't seem to check much of a range of UK e-tailers.

HI,

I ordered from sendit and ended up having to pay VAT plus an additional duty charge of 6.16 Euros. They shipped two MOC DVDs together. (I live in Germany.)

Yes, Sendit does not remove VAT but their shipping is pretty reasonable. I've never been hit with extra customs/duty charges on my orders to California. They ship items together.

a head's up: just ordered Asphalt from sendit.com for GBP 7.49! as for sendit.com in general. Ordered my first order from them last month, Spione, and had a bit of a hard time getting them to trust me (my credit card was issued in the US and I now live in Hungary so had to provide documentation) but after that they were excellent. Notifications and speedy delivery. Polar opposite of my DeepDiscountDecadeLongDeliveryDVD days.

Anyway...Asphalt! Stoked.

Francesco, giullare di Dio (Masters of Cinema Series) only is Â£12.99 at the UK brick and mortar store, Silverscreen. This is not an online store; you will have to get on a bus, on foot and stand in a queue. Remember your hat and gloves!

Nah, forget about ever using 50p links; use DVD Bargain and get Â£1.00 off links. DO NOT use discount vouchers in addition to the Â£1 discount, as CD-WOW will cancel your order.

Why do CD-WOW not just stock all Master of Cinema titles? Amazing prices, though, especially with an extra Â£1 off!
