Criterion Producers

#1 Post by movielocke »

After listening to the Wexner talk, I was struck by how important the producers are in 'lobbying' for any given release, so I started going through the booklets of the 2013 releases I haven't sold to discover who did which releases, because I was really curious who did what and what else they did this year.

My information is obviously not complete, and I'd really appreciate it if anyone would care to contribute the producer information for the 2013 titles I no longer have. I'll update this list with any additional information, there's a list of titles at the bottom:

Do you want the old DVD editions of things that were just blu-graded? (I.E. Earrings of Madame De, Ice Storm, etc)

Either way, I have most of the new releases; I'll post them when I go home in about an hour or so.

One of the things I plan to do since I have the whole collection now is to go through them and make a list of all the producers, when I get to it I'll post it here. My only gaps will be a few releases that I got used that lack booklets, but I should probably email Mulvaney on those.

There is already a list of Criterion producers for spines 1-285 (Three War Films) here, although some early releases didn't have any producers listed.

It'd be nice if we could go back far enough to meet where the original producer list leaves off: #285 in April 2005. Of course I mean the collective "we," as in everyone but me.

Also, don't forget spines before #285 that have Blu upgrades are already on the old list Ashrig linked to.
