I actually like the Breaking the Waves cover, but it doesn't seem like it accurately suits the film.

I'm not quite sure, but something about the Il Sorpasso cover really appeals to me. Breaking the Waves is attractive in the way orange and teal is always attractive. Master of the House cover looks fun, and Riot at Cell Block 11 is pretty meh.

I assume it's intended to evoke the landscapes in the film's 'chapter titles'.

It's the 'howling at the sea' moment from the film, as shown at the two minute point in this video, which comes just before the 'talk with God' and the husband's fateful accident. But yes the golden God-rayed top half of the cover is also evoking the chapter titles too!

Riot in Cell Block 11 should've been put off a month so it could've been spine #711.

Maybe they're holding that for the long-rumored SubUrbia.

As long as it isn't one of Satyajit Ray's films, that would be subliminally bad.

boy, it's like my subconscious new this month was going to suck so it allowed me to go right through a 15th of the month without even thinking about the impending announcement of new titles. Most blah collection of films and covers in a long long while. Breaking the Waves is nice I guess, and glad to get a non-original digi of 400 blows finally (please be a plastic case!), but only one upgrade and 3 other films that should all be $29.95 price points? bleargh.

Commentaries have never been that price point.

I can't imagine why 400 Blows wouldn't be in a Scanavo case - it's only 2 discs.

It looks like final copies haven't been sent out yet. No stores around me sell either so I haven't even been able to pick them up.

I have received both Rififi and Thief last Saturday from BN.com. I wish I could help to post the packaging pics. I just don't know how to do it here. :(

If you have the photos on your computer you could go to imgur which has a nice and straightforward way to move pictures onto the Internet and then you can link the images here like you normally do.

Not really. It's not another release, just a repackaging. Perhaps they shouldn't have even announced it. But then I'm sure people would have complained about that too.

Well yeah, that`s a re-release in my book: same release in another packaging.
Ah well, whatever. Brilliant movie, obviously, but not worth mentioning it`s being released again

Riot in Cell Block 11 may be the laziest cover in the collection.
