Calling it now, this Jimmy Kimmel pre-show skit is funnier than anything else on the actual awards will be

Did anyone time the Jared Leto acceptance speech? Record is 5 1/2 minutes by Greer Garson for Mrs Miniver and he had to be coming up close to that

I was winning my Oscar pool until Stardom won - was banking on Act of Killing.

Was that a joke? I think you're the only human being who has publicly stated that they found that funny tonight. It was nightmarishly sad, Kimmel as burly celeb protector, those poor defenseless stars

Tyler Perry presents Nebraska, Her and Gravity - what an appropriate choice...

The pizza bit: best, most surreal comedy in Oscar history?

I liked the pizza delivery (though the loose feel of the ceremony is by now bordering on high school with the cool table at front and everyone else excluded)

But isn't that how it should be? It's clear that snark has no place there, but loosening things up is sorely needed, this is the best hosting job I've seen, quite frankly. And DeGeneres tends to make me cringe, but not tonight so much.

I can tell you who's not winning any awards for this show: whoever is in charge of the camera and timing! Lots of black screens and early shots

yeah that 10 second miscue before the pizza sketch was great, lots of glitzy dresses rushing back to seats

I could be snarky and say why did Pink get to sing Somewhere Over the Rainbow but she was great.

John Ridley doesn't shake hands/hug Steve McQueen or Brad Pitt on the way down the aisle, what's that about?

Ridley looked not pleased in general. I am so thrilled that Her picked up the Best Screenplay Oscar, though! Yesssssss good work Academy, I lost faith that you'd do the right thing. Now give the big one to Gravity and all will be well in the world

Yeah, I'm still not sold on Her, but it winning is the best sort of upset.

Well fucking deserved, but a drop in the bucket for the injustice of not recognizing Children of Men.

Yeah, it sucks that the weakest nominee wins, but whatever.
