I think Monterey Pop was originally separate releases later packaged together (like Yojimbo/Sanjuro). Beales of Grey Gardens is available separately on DVD (and also in pack), like with Bergman Island. Brakhage II is a weird exception, since it's available separately on DVD, but only with Volume I on Blu.

But yeah, while Hellman's use of "box" implies that there won't be separate releases, but it leaves the possibility of the release being a twofer, something more, or even just The Shooting w/Ride as a bonus film.

Hellman said that the box set will only be The Shooting and Ride in the Whirlwind

The Complete Monterey Pop was initially released only as a box set. It was three or four years before Monterey Pop and Jimi Plays Monterey/Shake! were available separately.

Didn't Scorpion say that they were releasing Saint Jack?

Sony Pictures’ Grover Crisp was on hand to see his company’s splendid digital restoration of A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH, which may not have been original Technicolor but gave a very close approximation, with saturated colors and rich contrasts.
I'd be pretty shocked if that lands anywhere other than Criterion.

The last time I saw it aired on TCM it seemed like the restoration, though I only caught it in passing (in the morning). The colors definitely resembled the colors of Red Shoes and Blimp.

May have changed but last I heard, this was a StudioCanal title...

It was released by Sony, in an edition that as far as I know is still in print.

I was curious if "Bound for Glory"(1976) and/or "Henry and June"(1990) may be potential future Criterion releases. I adore both movies.

I NEED the Tati Box to be released in time for the B&N sale. July seems reasonable since that it the same month the equivalent box is being released in the UK.

I really hope this is true but, just judging from my general impression of his FB presence, it's quite possible that the entire scenario exists solely in MH's head.

They've come later than this before. There's no reason to believe they aren't coming today.
