It's also interesting to note that Cassavetes trash talks Carney a bit at the end.

John Cassavetes' final film is a fascinating study of love and the way people understand and consume it.
Now, now, we can't act like Big Trouble never happened [-X

Big Trouble is the one Cassavetes film that the fans of It's Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World will gravitate too.

'lo, folks. This is my first post here in several years, but I thought I would mention - the excised nudity that I previously mentioned noticing at the 2006 Vancouver screening of this film is STILL BEING EXCISED on the Criterion disc. Criterion is sayinghttp://www.criterion.com/current/posts/ ... itful-flow this was done in accord with Cassavetes' own wishes. I still have questions; see the comments on that article ("Love Streams: A Fitful Flow" on the Criterion Current page).

Some of the nude scene not viewable on the Criterion disc can be seen clumsily photographed off my TV screen herehttp://alienatedinvancouver.blogspot.ca ... reams.html.

Ya know, if they scanned the negative no it wasn't there, I'm inclined to believe it isn't that important.

I have to agree with CSM126, I'd have no issue buying Criterion's Blu-Ray and probably will during their next flash sale.

The most likely people to have cut the negative would have been Cassavetes himself or someone from Cannon.

Just how likely is it that Cannon would have removed nudity from it? In fact, the evidence suggests that they were the ones keen to retain it!

And who else would have been in a position to make the cut?

Judging by the link the nudity would only be seen on the bottom of the screen in an incorrect aspect ratio like open matte vhs or 1.66 framing.
