Thanks. I can't contact moveimail no replys to emails and a recorded message when you call . looks like Ive blown it my own fault should have gone to amazon

Another Zavvi cancellation here. I ordered the day Arrow announced they had sold out of their allocation, so my hopes weren't too high to begin with. Frustratingly, since I had entered an incorrect expiry date for my credit card Zavvi prompted me to correct the error before cancelling my order. All this after they never bothered to acknowledge the release date change, resulting in periodic emails apologising for their failure to ship my non-existent copy of a product that hadn't been released yet.

At least I know where I won't be buying my copies of the individual releases.

I've had no response to my Sept. 2nd note to MovieMail -- except for their automated reply of that date saying they "aim to respond to all email enquiries within 24 hours of receipt".

Expected dispatch of my order is still "TBC".

I too was burned by Zavvi. This morning my wife asked me what the hell this zavvi charge was, and now I see the cancelation in my email.

I ordered substantially before the sell out... so I'm not happy.

Add me to the list of people ripped off by Zavvi. I pre-ordered around the end of May early this year and it still got cancelled. I'm so angry. Judging from all the forums, it doesn't sound like ANYONE got their copy from zavvi, they all just got cancelled. Why did they even have it up on their site? I'm never ordering from them again. A 10% coupon code isn't going to cut it.

I'm kinda scared this is just a scam and they'll miraculously 'find' their stock and put it back on this site with a much higher price.

the recorded message has the nerve to tell people they can still order via the website when they are not answering enquiries and are not fullfilling orders

Both Zavvi & Moviemail have Twitter accounts, so it would be interesting to see some feedback on what exactly happened with pre-orders. Moviemail are usually very reliable, Zavvi (and this is a strictly personal account) are a little hit and miss.

It looks as though it's been a classic case of demand far out-stripping their stock, yet Zavvi up to now, haven't honoured a single order on the Camera Obscura box-set. Curious.

That said, I ordered direct from Arrow and haven't received any information on a shipping date, this after some have received theirs from an Amazon pre-order. Amazon have made a lot of cancellations also incidentally.

Mine was cancelled too, without notification, when I checked yesterday.

Less than 24 hours after receiving an email informing me my order was cancelled, Zavvi have suddenly turned around and told me the set has, in fact, shipped. It seems very poor form to suddenly reverse an order cancellation without confirming with the customer first. I'm suspicious enough that I've contacted them to ask whether or not they've actually sent me anything or if the despatch notice was somehow in error.

Best thrill ever : Zavvi told everyone "hey, your order is cancelled !" and then "hey, it's actually dispatched !".

Joke aside, it's a parody of communication.

Has anyone who ordered directly from arrow received theirs? Or any shipping information?

Many thanks for the Beaver Review. Indeed, the Arrow restauration of Goto looks really amazing compared to the old DVD prints of Nouveaux Pictures and Cult Epics. Chapeau!

Just received this email from Arrow:

"Dear Customer

We are writing about your order of Camera Obscura: The Walerian Borowczyk Collection.

Unfortunately during manufacturing at our plant a small number of stickers were damaged. These stickers have the limited edition numbering on them and are applied to the base of the box. Because the box set is a limited edition by number these numbered stickers could not be recreated and replaced.

We therefore had a shortfall of stock and your order, being the latest applied to our system has to be cancelled. We are very sorry for this late notice but we do have a small quantity of box sets without the sticker, being that the stickers were destroyed the boxes were of course still made. The only difference between this box and the finished product is the numbered sticker. We realise this is not a perfect swap so as a gesture of goodwill we will credit your account with reward points to the value of £5 if you decide to keep your order. However if you would rather cancel your order entirely we will offer a full refund right away.

Best regards

Arrow Films"

Naturally, I freaked out and emailed Arrow back immediately, telling them I would VERY MUCH still like a box set regardless of the sticker.

I just received this letter as well. I ordered direct from Arrow and wondering if this has been the reason for delay in shipping

Got the same email, I assured them that the box-set and not some random number is important, and just to ship.

I wouldn't need it for re-sale purposes anyway, it won't be going anywhere. I'm not confident I'll be receiving this however.

Mine actually arrived in California yesterday, though I missed the signature and had to pick it up today from the post office.

Were you a part of the kickstarter jindianajonz or did you order direct from Arrow?

I got the "damaged stickers" email this morning, and I ordered on May 21 (from the USA). I wonder how many copies the actually-numbered edition is limited to now? :) I'm starting to get nervous about my not-yet-sold-out Stray Cat Rock order...

My Zavvi order also shows "despatched", despite getting the email yesterday saying that my order was cancelled. I haven't received a notification email informing me that my order was shipped, but I'm hopeful!
