Hello everyone,

I don't know if this information is helpful or not, but I ordered the "Camera Obscura: The Walerian Borowczyk Collection" boxset from http://www.base.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; yesterday (they had, and still have, it stated as "In Stock NOW"), and have received an email stating that it was shipped today.

Since I see that the boxset is OOP in so many online retailers I though anyone interest in buying this boxset would like to know this.

Hope someone can benefit from this information. And hope I receive mine soon :)

#58 arrived safely yesterday (amazon.co.uk) in the Bible Belt (KY). Looks amazing (and that's without even watching any of the discs). Can't wait to dig in.

Still no sign of mine also, [London based] even though Arrow said the last of the Kickstarter backed boxes went out on 8th Sept, they've told me to check with the postman, but haven't provided a tracking number for me to be able to do this, If they've sent it to the correct address, which i'm now begining to doubt, [and was provided to them twice before despatch] the address shouldn't be an issue as it's my work address and is manned 24hr anyway, so much for the Kickstarter backers getting this first.....or at this rate, at all !

Nope, no notifications, it just showed up. I actually kickstarted a second copy (not for scalping, but to support the project at a time when it seemed to be losing steam- the second copy will be a birthday gift for a friend) and that one has yet to arrive.

Anyone have new information regarding the sticker issue? Any reply from Arrow?
I'm just going to cross my fingers and hope the box shows up in the next few weeks. I actually still have faith on Arrow - many people are getting their copies, and they have put a lot of work into this, I doubt they are intentionally trying to make things difficult for their customers.

My Kickstarter-reward copy arrived late last week - only had the chance to check out The Beast so far, can't wait to delve into the rest.

I'm not ashamed to say that I'll be selling my second copy, as I didn't buy it to scalp it, but rather to support the project early on, and as a backup in case the first set arrived damaged (not a concern, it turns out, given the care with which these sets have been shipped).

I am not going to tell you what to do, but you should consider offering it to a board member for a fair price to keep it in the family (as Bogart says in Sabrina). I'm not fishing for me, as unfortunately I am pretty sure I would hate these films, it just seems like a good Christian idea

From MovieMail today:

Thank you for your email,

I can confirm that your order has been placed and we anticipate this to be sent to you in 2 - 3 weeks as the date for its release has been pushed back slightly. In regards to the packaging I have passed your comments on.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused by this slight delay.

Or at least put any profits towards Arrow releases!

That should go without saying!

Also, I think the good Christian idea would be for me to burn both sets and bury the ashes.

I remember you doing so, and you can sell your second copy with the blessing and warm encouragement of everyone involved in the project.

I imagine you'll be able to turn a decent profit too.

I have donated my second copy to the Ursaline Convent library. I was warmly thanked by la Mère supérieure.

More than just Christian I'd assume.

#356 arrived yesterday safely in France, courtesy of Amazon.co.uk.
Very nice boxset, though the paper band is a bit tedious to take out or put back (it's a bit tight).

For those who preordered outside the UK I emailed Arrow today to ask if all boxes have been shipped and was told that mine (preordered in February) was posted on the 10th for international signed for delivery to Australia.

You're not supposed to put it back!

It's designed to be completely disposable - its sole function is to display the BBFC logo on the requisite sides of the box (to meet the requirements of UK video packaging regulations at the point of sale) and to offer technical details to people who might be browsing in a shop without access to online product descriptions. Although since the box sold out before getting anywhere near HMV, that last bit turned out not to be necessary.

I just noticed this as well and got an order in. Order status just changed to "preparing for dispatch," so, fingers crossed.

EDIT: Shipped just a few hours later!

Seems my copy is waiting for me at the post office. Kind of annoyed that I have to pay custom fees to get it though (approx. £25.50/$41). As this is a Kickstarter "reward", wouldn't it be correct of Arrow to declare this as having "no commercial value", as they seem to always do with packages with an actual commercial value (as they did with The Burbs, which also arrived today)?

Think yourself lucky, i'm still dealing with the Kafkaesque hell that is 'Arrow customer service', was told yesterday morning that it had been sent to the address i replied to on the Kickstarter survey [also sent the address prior to this]. Yet later when i asked for the tracking number they told me they didn't actually have the address at all......sloppy!

Today i'm waiting for them to send me the tracking number as promised in yesterdays email......still waiting!
