God. This film wasn't worth the $3 the MGM DVD cost me, much less $30

That would be Lionsgate, which would be a real coup if they could pull it off, as LG is right next to WB in the "difficult to license titles from" category.
I'll have to double check my copy, but I think it is also Studio Canal which would make it a double coup.

I believe it's part of the Artisan library that Lionsgate acquired.

It's been part of the Studio Canal library since they acquired most of Carolco's films in the mid-'90s. The old Artisan DVD has a prominent Canal logo on the back. I don't think Artisan owned any Carolco titles outright, they just inherited the home video licenses from their predecessor Live. Live/Artisan's rights should've expired a while back (most of their Carolco titles were licensed for 15-year terms), so Lionsgate probably re-licensed it from Canal as part of their ongoing relationship.

Is dysentery a plot point in this film?

There are some really unfortunate layout choices on that cover, for sure.

Cool. I've been collecting all the Cinerama films, so I'll be sure to grab this one as well.

You're welcome. Lou Diamond Phillips tweeted today that he has signed some La Bambas, presumably for November's promotion. So anyone planning on buying that may want to hold off.

The titles have been added a few minutes early. Just got an autographed Salvador!

EDIT: And at 3:02 they're gone already it seems

That has to be a record sell out though...it was still 4:00 and the giveaway was removed from my cart.

Last month I had already hit the checkout button with the autographed The Buddy Holly Story on my order, but the site took so long to actually place the order, it removed the item & sent me back to the checkout page :(

In addition to these their email from yesterday mentions the following:

THE DRIVER: fewer than 400 remaining
LEAVE HER TO HEAVEN: fewer than 450 remaining
BYE BYE BIRDIE: fewer than 500 remaining
HARD TIMES: fewer than 550 remaining

Also of note, the email said 250 for THE BLOB (rather than the 200 TT said on HTF yesterday).

The ol' Cart Game at Screen Archives still works when titles get below 50 copies. Going by that, THE BLOB has ~30 copies left.

It's putting an excessive number of the same title in your cart to find out how many are actually able to be ordered, or in stock.
