The Malle covers are some of the most beautiful covers I've ever seen. I especially like the 3 Films By Louis Malle cover showing him at work. A true genious Malle was.

To my eyes, it looks like the worst cover since the early days of, say, Hopscotch. I may be wrong, though.

I really hope it's digipak, similar to the Ugetsu box, and we're just seeing the outside cover. Someone should email Mulvaney about it...

I really like the Mr. Arkadin cover, but I think Orson's beard loses a bit of its effect due to the color scheme. This is probably my favorite cover of the last six months.


I have a question unrelated to Mr. Arkadin, but relevant to packaging. Does Bad Timing come in two different cases? The copy I bought the other day at Best Buy came in a clear case, but I thought I had also seen it in a black case.

Why not just go back to Narshty's post on the previous page and hit the quote button in the upper-right hand corner. This will provide you with the URL of the cover-art he posted.

Where it reads "330_box_" you delete the "330" and replace it with whatever spine number you want. Whenever Criterion posts a new cover for a DVD they put the "full_boxshot" up first, before placing the smaller version of the cover-art as a link on their website.

If you don't want to work that much just to check cover art, try Jun-Dai's webpage, or 4LOM's webpage, or hammock's.

My goal is to make a complete index of CC stickers (not security strips and barcode strips) and I would need help from other forum members to complete my task. I've scanned the stickers I have from 1-100 and will continue with the remaining 230 during next week. I think the Arkadin cover's okay. It's pretty boring. Nowhere nearly as beautiful as the Viridiana cover, but nowhere near as bad as it could have been.
