it's also coming

Oops, I thought you were talking about the release, not the cover. But the cover for the shorts doesn't have 2000 on it...

so, I'm a bit flustered. Are the booklets you get with the boxes worth the extra effort? I thought the pictures made them look like decent purchases as far as packaging but reading the description makes it sound bad. Should I just buy the cheaper amaray?

Yeah, what does 2000 have to do with anything?

It was orignally supposed to be released in 2000 but it got pushed back over and over and they never changed the cover.

My main problem with the bigger cases is how scratched the disks get when pulling them out. I don't understand the logic of not having some sort of a snapper. For the outrageous prices, I'd hope to preserve the discs as long as humanly possible.

I'm happy to have the original Eraserhead set, although I immediately moved the disc into a different case. But the box looks cool on the shelf. I'll be picking up the slimmer, cheaper shorts dvd though.

This could spin nicely into an advertising tag, something like, "The best DVD release of 2003 is now the best DVD release of 2006! Jump on it!"

DvdFile have reviewed Lynch's new disc "Dumbland". It's a series of animated shorts he made for his website, that are really really funny and have lots of yelling. It is being distributed by the people that are doing the wide release of Eraserhead and Short films. I think dvdfile said it is being released on 12/20.
So where all can you order these from?
(thank you, and yes, I know this sounds like a third grade book report.)

So is this actually OOP already? I've heard conflicting stories - one being that some sites (DVDPlanet, Deep Discount) had it listed as discontinued because it wasn't part of their sale, the other being that it's really out of print. Is it possible that Rhino might be rereleasing it since they're putting out the Inland Empire DVD? Sorry for all this rumormongering....
