Plus, Kim said at Wexner that more Lynch was coming.

I could only toggle between The Residents and [nothing] while we were discussing the New Year's drawing, but now that the word "Eyeball" comes out of nowhere, I recall that the original artwork for /Hourglass Sanatorium/ featured a big eyeball -- for no reason except possibly to appeal to the Stanley Mouse sect. … Also Giulio Paradisi's /The Visitor/ I think … Last year's Zebra/DMMS Media BD release of /Hourglass Sanatorium/ is stunningly beautiful, and Criterion might try to appeal to that crevice of the market that doesn't like the digibook and screen menus in Polish only.

If you check the My Dinner with Andre page you can see a new Wallace and Gregory set with MDWA, Vanya on 42nd Street, and A Master Builder

That Fucking Eyeball Anime Thing
God, I hope not. I really hope Takashi Murakami was just stopping by the office. I haven't seen Jellyfish Eyes, but I didn't dig the trailer... at all.
War Trilogy BD upgrade
I almost guessed this! We can only hope!

And now they're splitting up the BBS box. Great, that's a good use of time and resources Criterion :eyerollforever:

And the standalone release will also contain a new extra:
Criterion wrote:Documentary from 2009 about BBS featuring critic David Thomson and historian Douglas Brinkley (standalone DVD and Blu-ray editions only)

I don't get this one at all. Who was clamoring for an individual release of this? So, so weird.

Becker: Grover, we'll take a pass on The Lady from Shanghai because we'll need time to split the BBS Box.

That extra is not actually new, it's just on the disc of Head from the box-set.

Wait, so there's a standalone release of A Master Builder, and a new Blu-Ray Upgrade for My Dinner with Andre, and a box set with both of those and Vanya?

Yes, it appears so. You save twenty bucks of MSRP by buying both but gain nothing from the box, so if you like me already have Vanya, no need to sell it, just pick up the two new to Blu titles

Looks like it's just a "Collector's Set," like when they've boxed "Wrong Men & Notorious Women," or the Lean/Dickens films.

Interesting slate. I'm happy to see more Jonathan Demme and Terry Gilliam in the collection.

Pretty much this. It doesn't have a spine number either, so it's entirely safe to skip the box.
You can probably order the box itself if you email Mulvaney, too.

And most welcome, since it's a classic that deserves a release of its own, independent of the other titles from that expensive box which I would never have bought.
