Great news! This movie is, let's say, bananas.

According to details on the Amazon listing this DVD will include her 1961 short CEILING which is a substantial extra at over 40 minutes in length (longer than KILIAN).

"Wonderfully bonkers... utterly, beautifully, oneirically Czech... This is a liberating film to watch and to be challenged by; it also contains some right royal visual headfracks"

"Fruit of Paradise is the most complex, rich, ambitious and haunting of her films that have been released in Britain. Better than Daisies? I don’t say it lightly, but it might just be true"

"Extraordinary and richly imaginative experimental update of the Adam and Eve story... The film is consistently arresting in its visual experimentation, but as an audio-visual experience it's intermittently mind-blowing... you should consider Fruit of Paradise essential viewing"

"An astonishingly rich and inventive piece of work... There is nothing quite like it... It might well be my favourite Czech film"

Just seen this in the cinema, its a wild ride, not sure Ive ever seen anything quite like it. Apart from the stunning visuals, what impressed me the most was the incredible score by Zdenek Liska. Repeated viewings are essential to tease out all the goodies in here, though.
